When it comes to a hat on your head, it has to feel comfortable; it also must look good, and be of good quality. Right?  Today, I want you all to think about the hat that you might have on, is it comfortable, does it have style, how is the quality?  If not, you may need to contact our 2016 WSRRA National Hat Sponsor Chaz Mitchell Custom Hatz.
Chaz Mitchell comes from Jiggs, Nevada. He grew up cowboying right along his father, Waddie Mitchell.  Chaz was a farrier for 10 years until an injury to his back forced him to find another occupation. His wife, Erin and their kids make their home in Newcastle, Utah.  “I make custom hats and my wife, has an embroidery business called Cedar Embroidery, states Chaz.” While looking for a new occupation Chaz states, “I attended a hat making class in Elko, Nevada and I fell in love with making hats.”
The hat making class was hosted by Roy Jackson of Jaxonbilt Hats. After attending the class, Chaz decided that making hats was going to be his new career.  Under Roy’s supervision, Chaz learned the art of making a comfortable, good quality, nice looking hat.
“Everything I do is a custom; I build it the way the customer wants. I build exactly what they want from color to style.”
Chaz Mitchell Custom Hatz makes each hat by hand, paying attention to quality, detail and fit. Chaz prides himself in making a hat that you won’t want to take off at the end of the day. They are that good.
Chaz Mitchell Custom Hatz builds high quality custom hats for cowboys and cowgirls alike. Chaz builds hats that fit his customers, and their personalities. “I love to see smiles on my customer’s faces,” Chaz explained.  Along with building hats, Chaz likes to be involved, and takes pride in helping cowboys and cowgirls, that is why he became the National Hat Sponsor of the WSRRA.  Chaz saw an opportunity to partner with the WSRRA, and after a few phone calls to his good friend Pook Hoots, and Marc Page, Chaz Mitchell Custom Hatz became the official hat of the WSRRA.
At the 2014 and 2015 WSRRA National Finals Rodeo, Chaz Mitchell Custom Hatz donated a custom made hat to the WSRRA Ranch Bronc Riding Rookie of the Finals, which was Miles Binger 2014, and TeJay Fenster 2015.  Also in 2015 Chaz qualified for the WSRRA Finals on a ranch rodeo team,  along with donating hats to the WSRRA Rookie of the Finals, Chaz Mitchell Custom Hatz also donated a hats for the live WSRRA Cowboy Crisis auction both years. Chaz Mitchell Custom Hatz also donates award hats to various sanctioned WSRRA events. “I can and will make a hat that you will be proud to put on,” Says Chaz.
