Well it looks like the days are getting shorter and the temperatures are getting cooler. Fall is just around the corner and with that fall college rodeo season is underway. School has started up and footballs are flying. It’s time to get ready for fall shipping.
Year 2015 has come and almost gone. It seems to have caught us all off guard. Just a few months ago we were enjoying the CNFR and now it’s less than 90 days until the NFR! Where does time go??
At the NIRA Alumni, we are working hard to get space in a museum to help display our past history. Many of our past college Champions have gone on to compete in the PRCA and even won numerous World Titles! Our goal and mission is to keep the college rodeo alive and well. A big first step would be to help honor our past Champions and to help tell our story of how they got started and went to college to help better themselves. College rodeo is a very important step for many and it has certainly helped many of us later in life and in our careers!
We are always looking for new members who see the light and the mission of what we do. We have increased our scholarships to the NIRA and hope to keep making more available. It seems that the only way we can insure our mission is to grow and increase our membership and to keep raising awareness of our goals. We NEED your help. If you are a past competitor, supporter, or even just a fan of college rodeo, consider joining the NIRA Alumni and help keep that tradition of College Rodeo alive! Thank you for your consideration and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
For more information, please call Sharon Adams, NIRAA Secretary, at (602) 268-5874 or like us on Facebook to keep updated!
Membership in the NIRA Alumni is not expensive and a great way to reconnect with college friends and college rodeo. Look for the membership form on this page.
