Waylen Daley, Bareback Rider: I really enjoy the whole sport of rodeo and the people who are into it as much as me and my family. I really like junior high and getting on Bareback and Saddlebronc steers. But my all time favorite of Junior High rodeo is going to Nationals in Des Moines Iowa. When we went there, everybody from Utah was in a certain little area. Every time someone was up in the roughstock from Utah we would go behind the chutes and cheer for each other. The first go-round I scored a 69 and took seventh. The second round I scored a 58. The short-go I drew a really rank steer and bucked me off. Over all I took 14th. Junior high rodeo has helped me prepare for High School rodeo and taught me perseverance and dedication to continue and never give up on myself and my goals.
Stran Nielson, Saddle Bronc Rider: I like Utah Jr. High rodeo because, it helps kids prepare for the upcoming high school rodeos, and also helps you meet new people and make more friends.
