Meet the Member Tiersyn Grubb

story by Whitney Knippling

Ten-year-old Tiersyn Grubb of Spearfish, South Dakota is well on her way to doing big things in the rodeo arena. She wrapped up her summer with a National Little Britches World Barrel Racing Title and Reserve All-Around at the finals and for the year in the Little Wrangler Division, saying “It was really exciting because that was one of my goals.”
Her list of accomplishments doesn’t stop there, as she took home another saddle this summer from the Moffet County Little Britches Rodeo in Craig, CO claiming the All-Around Title and has been named a 2X Sheridan Elk’s Youth Rodeo All-Around Champ!

The young cowgirl stays busy working her favorite event, the barrel racing, as well as pole bending, goat tying, and flag race (her last flag runs being made at the finals since she will be advancing to Jr. Girl this rodeo season.) She recently just started breakaway roping and heeling and will also compete in trail.
Rodeo is and has been a family affair for the Grubb’s; Tiersyn getting her itch for the sport from her dad Jason, mom Stephanie, and older sister Brylee. She looks up to some local cowgirls close to home, and talented ones at that, Rickie and Taylor Engesser, saying “they have helped me so much.”
When Tiersyn’s not busy on the rodeo trail, you can find her playing basketball, swimming, hiking with her family, and being with her friends. When asked where she plans to take her rodeo career, she states, “To win more saddles and keep doing my best every time.” She loves the great sport of rodeo for the time spent with friends and family and for her special horses. We look forward to watching her continue to succeed down the rodeo road.
