From the Board

by Rodeo News

As we head to Texas and Oklahoma I hope everyone is staying cool. This is my first adventure staying in Arizona for the summer and needless to say I’m trying not to melt! As a native Texan I have forgotten how hot it can get, Montana has been a perfect place to enjoy all the seasons without too many extreme weather changes.
Some important reminders again: August 1st is the deadline for ballots, nominations and submission of rule changes. Now is the time! Please take a moment to get involved. As a member, your input is very valuable, extremely necessary and greatly appreciated. If you have any questions please feel free to call Susi in the office or your event directors. I would like to introduce Jim Arnold as a new candidate for president, Jim is available for questions and would love to hear from you. Chuck Melin is also planning on throwing his hat back in the ring. Please take the time and place value in planning the future of your assocation.
A final note… I will continue my efforts to encourage everyone to reach out to their sponsor resources, which are an essential part of every rodeo association. Again there is no contribution too small. As Directors, we take on a large responsibility that enables contestants to compete for prize money and memorable awards at our Finals. I personally would love to hear a from my Ribbon Ropers and Runners with sponsorship suggestions. With a forged effort, our Association is able to provide contestants, family and fans with a great experience in Panguitch, Utah where we meet for the next SNFR.
Saddle up, check your cinch and stay blessed, see you down the road! Your NSPRA Friend,

Elaine Lewis
